The BAL de l Ete is among one of the most prestigious of luxury events on the calendars of the elite.Nobel Prize winning sage Conrad Lorentz once described man’s propensity to decimate his surroundings and bend all creatures to his will. It was, said Conrad, a hidden dimension that lurked deep inside, a long-ingrained inferiority complex due to the lack of any natural defense mechanism bestowed upon by
events of even the merest insect.
The result of these
events is a headlong plunge into culling the giants of the Jungle, the Kings of the Animal kingdom and the ruthless taming of the environment and
events. Hence in doing so, man makes mis-use of the marvel that is the human brain, transforming it into the fiercest weapons of the
very best, thus avenging the physical humiliation suffered eons ago and crowning himself Emperor.
As we survey the deliberate event that have led to desecration of nature and the willful annihilation of our habitat, the pattern of 20,000 years of “civilization” is stark - a bleeding Planet and a wounded path that lies ahead.
As
events and time freezes and stutters in radiation engulfed Fukushima and missiles are deployed as proof of our “genius”, the extent of our warped and reckless evolution comes to light. Although we are able to enjoy sharing the
landscape with other forms of life, we exist in a mindless man-made plot and reality of our own. Before long the punishment we have meted out will come full circle through
events, the magnitude of our very own fragile existence will be obvious. We shall yearn for the
very best in protection; the “conqueror” will plead with Mother Nature to shield us from consequences of our colossal cruelty.
And there for all to observe, our predicament will be crystal clear - The Emperor has no Clothes.
The reason behind the choice of the “BAL de l’ Eté”, this summer, we dedicate ourselves to the
luxury of returning to Earth and choosing Life. Hence 'Animal Planet’.
Imagine:Once upon a time, deep in an emerald forest wrapped around eternal temples,
Two fearless tiger cubs pranced around their graceful mother.
Watching the last of these noble creatures, dance to the music of time,
Questions about our own survival arise.
Do we deserve our enchanting wilderness and life-bearing seas?
As the carnage of the animal kingdom and pillaging of the environment continue unabated,
Do over 6 billion humans honor their role as guardians of the temple that is our blue earth?
Is an ever-expanding big-brother our only answer?
Man belongs to earth; earth does not belong to man.
If you believe that out of many, we are one,
If we are born free,
Take the leap of faith,
Walk on the wild side.
Time to act!
