Georges Blanc is the fourth generation of the Blanc family who has been innkeepers of restaurants since 1872. Coming first in his year at the Hotel Management School of Thonon-Les Bains, he began honing his skills in a number of the
very best restaurants before joining the family business and working alongside his mother. Georges took over from her and began to take responsibility for the business in 1968 at the age of twenty five.
Georges Blanc completely transformed the very modest family run inn and quickly turned it into one of the few jewels among the crown of some of the most prestigious of
restaurants with the Relais & Chateaux Association and quickly began to produce some of the most desirable results. In 1976 he was a finalist in Paris in the Best Worker of France competition and in 1981 he went on to win one of the most superb accolades in the business of
restaurants, a third star in the Michelin Guide. In the same year he went on to win the coveted title and honor of Chef of the Year.

restaurants of the Mothers Blanc from the last century.
