Frank Bornemanns name is mainly associated with the band ELOY. Frank has produced numerous successful albums over 40 years and has become an integral part of a large progressive rock community internationally.

As a producer Frank has been working since the 70s when he began with The Scorpions 2nd album, Fly to the Rainbow. The success of his own band allowed him since 1980 to have his own production studio which today is one of the most established and well known in Germany. Frank has enjoyed not only success with ELOY but with bands including Helloween, Guano Apes and Revolverheld, among others. He has also gained many gold and platinum records at Horus Sound Studio where he worked with young bands and artists. In order to operate more effective artist development Frank has been running the production company Artist Station since the 90s to which a publishing edition with EMI Group also belongs, which is now a record label operating new mechanisms within the industry and opening up new perspectives for artists.

Frank married in 1968 and wife Brigitta has supported him and made contributions in order for Frank to be able to realize the things he dreamed of. In his spare time Frank enjoys watching good films and reading interesting books, along with keeping in shape and loves travelling to sites of historical events of the past.  

What Brings You Happiness?

I consider myself lucky to be able to spend my life in partnership with such a wonderful woman. Making music means a lot to me, being able to reach out to so many people from all over the world with my music and my band ELOY. It also gives me pleasure to offer young artists and bands creative support and to promote their career. My company Artist Station Records with its different divisions which include a publishing house and label with innovative and modern structures, which provides an excellent platform for highly effective artist development. What’s more, for production of any kind I have the well-known Horus Studio with the best equipment available to me, where I can realize my artistic ideas without compromise. All this gives me enormous pleasure.

What Would You Change (If You Could) To Make Our World A Better Place?

I would ensure that discrimination on the basis of peoples colour, culture or religion disappears forever. At the same time I would get rid of any form of violence and oppression against defenceless minorities. I would protect global human rights without any compromise or restriction. I would oppose the economic exploitation of those dependant groups of the population with determination and ensure that our planet no longer be destroyed by unscrupulous profiteering.

I would reject questionable technologies which endanger our planet.

I would replace political grandeur and abuse of power with sophisticated well-thought-out effective rules and regulations.

For a better understanding of different cultures towards each other I would push towards exchanges in order to create positive and peaceful relations where all strive towards the best possible living conditions so that our planet is free from misery or any existential threats. I would also like to create global laws with authorization of a global executive which would severely punish any crimes whether they are violent or fraudulent due to the misuse of political power or economic ruthlessness.
