Journe himself is a colorful character and is notorious for his early refusal to take on commissions for one off
luxury time pieces. Whilst working with his Uncle, a famous restorer of antique clocks and watches, the young Francois began to create his own personal time piece, a Tourbillion pocket watch of the
very best, but such was his skill and reputation with restoration he was inundated with commissions.
Refusing any of these until he had proved himself on his own timepiece it would be a further five years before he unveiled his Journe Tourbillion, which he wears daily to this day. After finishing his
luxury timepiece, Journe began establishing his brand, moving to Switzerland and developing unique movements for his range of watches. The
