Corinne Menzelopoulos helped to rebuild the reputation of one of the
very best in
luxury brand, Chateaux Margaux, when she arrived in 1980. Her timing was impeccable as the Chateau had gone through vintages that were disastrous.
Corinne Menzelopoulos quickly went on to become a novelty in France, a place where women not only help to harvest the grapes but also serve and drink
luxury wine of the
very best, yet very few are the owners of a Chateau. It was her father Andre who introduced his daughter to the
excellent Chateau, and Corinne fell in love with the beauty of the Chateau and cellars. Following the passing of her father Ms. Menzelopoulos took over the Chateau. Today Ms. Menzelopoulos spends a great deal travelling and recently began shipping the
luxury wine to China following a visit by President Hu Jintao of China.
Corinne Menzelopoulos deserves the fame she has earned over years of hard work and dedication to the Chateau. Replanting 30 acres of vineyards, rebuilding the cellars and vats and restoring the Chateau itself brought forth a succession of the
finest vintages.
