Tae Ashida is the second daughter of Jun Ashida, one of Japan's
very best designers, and graduated from the Le Rosey in Switzerland before going on to the Apparel Design Department at the Rhode Island School of Design in the USA.
Tae Ashida is the
superb designer of the "Miss Ashida" label in Japan and in France under her own name "
Tae Ashida". Her
luxury designs are some of the
finest contemporary fashion garnments, known for their refinement and avantgarde look. Back in 1991 she presented her first
lifestyle collection in Tokyo, where she has presented twice each year ever since during the
luxury Tokyo Fashion Week.
Father Jun Ashida has enjoyed a
superb career in Japanese fashion, which led him to become the representative designer of the fashion world in Japan. Jun Ashida rose to new heights during the 60's when the H.I.H Crown Princess Michiko took Ashida on as the exclusive designer.
While the
luxury Tae Ashida brand name followed close in the footsteps of her father’s brand name, the two are definitly set apart. Some Fashion experts say that Tae's designs embody imagination, detail in perfect harmony to the needs of today's women. Many customers solely purchase Miss Ashida or Jun Ashida
luxury designs while a few purchase both labels. Tae and Jun Ashida both work separately on their designs with
