Donald Trump is one of the most recognized businessmen in the world. The name TRUMP as a brand name stands out among the finest around the globe. Trump is a name associated with the very best in quality real estate, luxury hotels, entertainment, golf and wisdom, his wide range of interests have led to a new standard in the business realm. Donald Trump is simply an icon, the epitome of the American dream and all it stands for.

However the life and career of Donald Trump has not always been easy. Trump started with the Trump Tower in New York City together with several other real estate projects, expanded into the airline and the casino (incl. Taj Mahal) businesses but also struggled with financial and personal difficulties for a good part of the 90s.

The end of the same decade saw Trump coming back stronger than ever with landmark projects and deals. Among these the Trump World Tower, the Trump International Hotel and Tower, Golf assets and the enormous success of the reality TV show "The Apprentice" which earned him numerous accolades.

Donald Trump is a fighter, seeing obstacles as a challenge and people respect him for that. Family has always been important to me and having my three eldest children with me at The Trump Organization is wonderful. My parents were great examples and my siblings and I have remained close, and the same goes with my own children and my wife, Melania.

I have always liked challenges. They make each day special, and there’s even a sort of mystery of how things can work out — not always as planned, but I remain open and enjoy watching things fall into place. Some people see problems as problems but to me they are challenges and that energizes me. Accomplishment is what happens after the challenge has been met. It’s a great feeling and it rarely comes easily. I can wait for years to see a deal come through, and I don’t give up. There can be obstacle after obstacle but I just keep at it. Making deals is my art form. I know how to negotiate, I do my research, and I keep my technique sharp by daily work. The finished product, which in my case is always the gold standard, is worth it. High ideals give accomplishment an added appeal as well as gratification. I love playing golf. I also love developing golf courses. It’s a passion and it brings me great satisfaction.

An end to war:

Wars and natural catastrophes have shaped the world, and while we can’t control nature, we do have the capacity to control wars. It’s a sad commentary to note that wars have gone on for as long as history can recall. They are destructive and tragic and I’d like to see them end. War is never a solution.
