By the 1970s it was bought by another prominent Greek figure, a renowned writer and journalist. He built the main section of the villa and installed one of the very first swimming pools on the entire island. A whimsical and romantic “pigeon house” was also added during this time. Nestling on the top of a small stony outcrop, this cosy little structure was the final addition to this house.
The villa has been tastefully maintained and kept up to date with all the requirements of a modern age. Star Athenian Interior Designer Evi Mitsopoulou was very instrumental to add a it's touch of class. Evi is well known for her contemporary modern style yet with the unusual ability to integrate personal objects of her customers in such a way that one feels instantly at home. A separate wing houses a modern and fully equipped kitchen capable of catering to a sizable gathering of guests. The unique layout of the villa means that it has a significant area of open air ideal for the most lavish outdoor receptions.
The surrounding landscape is one of stunning beauty with raw and wild nature that is so characteristic of the Greek islands. The property has the added benefit that the land around has been specially defined as a no construction zone in order to preserve the natural beauty of the area.
