Following on in the footsteps of their High Jewelry Collection, Van Cleef and Arpels have released four luxury timepieces as tribute to legendary balls.

The brand name has chosen the Bals Pares which is a Parisian tradition of the ball for their High Watchmaking collection, Bals de Legende. The collection comprises of four luxury timepieces which have been inspired by some of the very best 20th century balls. Each of these pieces tells the tale of an evening that is unforgettable, from imperial Russia to the dazzle of Paris, the romance of Venice and audacious New York.

The Bal du Palais d Hiver has been designed with a mother of pearl décor and has a 24 hour Poetic Complication with time being measured by the dance around the dial of the timepiece of the pick gold characters. The pink gold case is 38 mm and the bezel around the watch is set with round diamonds. This is a numbered edition with mother of pearl marquetry and gold sculpting for the characters and has an alligator strap with pink gold diamond paved buckle.

The Bal du Siecle luxury timepiece features a dial that is colourful in mother of pearl and aventurine glass which is the stage of the steps of the dancers. The passing of time is in rhythm thanks to a 24 hour Poetic Complication. The case is comprised of pink gold and is 38 mm and set with round diamonds around the bezel. It is a numbered edition with gold sculpting, aventurine glass and mother of pearl marquetry. The alligator strap is decorated with pink gold diamond buckle.

The Bal Black and White has some of the finest luxury craftsmanship in the poetic complication and represents the Art Deco architecture. The luxury timepiece has an onyx background with gold sculpting and mother of pearl marquetry along with a 24 hour Poetic Complication. The case is 38mm and is designed in white gold with round diamonds set in the bezel. The background is onyx with mother of pearl and the alligator strap is designed in white gold with a diamond pave buckle.

The Bal Proust timepiece is adorned with white fold silhouettes which show up on the mother of pearl background and twirl gracefully around the dial as time passes. The 24 hour Poetic Complication is an ode to the romance found in Paris. Again, the luxury timepiece is a limited edition and has round diamonds set in the bezel. The alligator strap is decorated with a paved buckle with diamonds and is white gold.
