Auction house Christies will be auctioning the collection of Mrs Lily Safra on May 14th 2012 with the benefits to go to twenty institutions. The sale will include one of the largest single owner collections of jewels by JAR, including an extraordinary ruby and diamond camellia flower brooch that was specially commissioned.

The Christies auction will take place at the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues in Geneva Switzerland on 14th May 2012. The auction house has been entrusted with the sale of some of the very best luxury jewels from the stunning collection of Lily Safra. The proceedings from the auction will be donated to twenty charitable institutions. Mrs Safra is regarded as a major philanthropist and is also a discerning connoisseur of some of the very best jewelry in the world. The collection reflects here excellent taste throughout more than five decades, from the 70s to the present.
In total the auction will have twenty lots with the luxury collection of Mrs Safra being estimated to realize more than $20 million. The collection on auction will include some of the very best diamonds, rubies and sapphires along with one of the finest arrays of antique and period jewels.

A special section of the auction has been dedicated to jewels from JAR with the majority of them being made specifically for Mrs. Safra by the jeweler during the 80s and in this past decade.
