Twins for Peace is a organization that is much more than one of the very best shoe brands from Brazil. When you purchase the fashion shoes you are supporting a great cause. The concept was created in 2009 with the goal of creating a socially responsible product which would put a smile on the face of a child.

The Twins for Peace philanthropy project was created by twin brothers and a close friend with the concept being that for every pair of shoes purchased a pair was also donated to a child in need. Each pair of shoes that are donated are produced by local artisans based in the country where the project is held. The first philanthropy project to be held was in Brazil and in total more than 200 pairs of shoes were produced in San Paulo by a local artisan.

Shoes from the philanthropy project have been sold in some of the very best and most famous luxury concept stores, including Merci and Colette in Paris. The philanthropy project started life after the founder traveled to Africa and South America and was touched by the generosity of children there who had very little. This was the motivation behind the philanthropy project to help children in countries such as these and is why South America was chosen for the first philanthropy shoe project.

The current model of shoe being sold is made from canvas with the 2010 collection being designed in suede. All sneakers are fresh in design and exciting, bold and colorful and they are timeless. The sneakers for the philanthropy project are made in Portugal and are made under the most respectful ethical conditions with no child labor involved and efficient social protection along with remuneration that are adequate.

All of the shoes designed and made for the philanthropy projects have ecological aspects too. All of the promotion tools and packaging are made from 90 percent recycled paper and the team of some of the very best designers are also looking into ecological leathers.
