The Campana Brothers get stimulation for their art from the Brazilian multiculturalism that is found in Santa Cecilia, Sao Paulo. This is a region where skills of many traditions cross and are interwoven, immigrants from Korea, a Jewish community and the people of Brazil all walk through the streets and know one another.This is where the Capana Brothers studio is located, through metal doors of an old warehouse is where you can find the lab where experimentation and transformation of
art takes place, created by Fernando and Humberto. In two large halls, 12 people work, some of the
very best architects, craftsmen and seamstresses, all of whom have been with the Campana family for more than 15 years. The brothers are well known around the world for their
art when it comes to
luxury furniture design and creating objects that can only be described as intriguing. Their work volume has increased and appeals to many audiences. The brothers have developed partnerships with institutions and companies.The brothers have designers skills when it comes to understanding the essence of a brand and as a result they are continually requested to reinvent the identity of some of the
very best global brands. In regards to fashion and
art the brothers signed the Campana Collection of Brazillian jewelry brand H. Stern in 2011. In 2009 the brothers reinterpreted the Lacoste polo shirt. Thanks to their passion for
art and design the brothers understand a brands essence and are able to play around with its
origins in order to reinvent a global identity. When it comes to
art and
luxury interior design they have reinvented Camper stores in many places around the globe and are currently redesigning the Quai DOrsay Museum Cafe. The brothers are also looking into new solutions for ambiance for the Olympic Hotel in Athens. This will be the first
art project in a hotel to be signed by the brothers. Humberto and Fernando have integrated some of the
very best permanent collections in many of the renowned
art institutes including the MoMA in New York and the Georges Pompidou Center in Paris. Thanks to the surprising conception of what the brothers consider to be ordinary, they are frequently requested to reorganize the collections of numerous institutions. They are also the curators of the Sao Paulo Museum of Modern
art. The brothers started life in Brotas close to Sao Paulo, where they studied. Humberto graduated in law and in the 80s set up a small
art studio to study his passion and create made hand made products. Fernando had a great interest for researching alternative methods of design and in 1983 Humberto asked his brother to work with him to deliver a large order. This became the beginning of one of the most celebrated partnerships in
art and design.
