Bonnie Young is the founder and creative director of the brand that bears her name. She began her career as a design assistant at Ralph Lauren and then spent 16 years with Dona Karan where she became Senior Creative director. Bonnie Young has authored Colours Of The Vanishing Tribes, a superb book depicting a collection of photographs taken during inspirational travels around the world for Donna Karan. She has curated an international series of exhibitions with her photography and private inspirational collection. She has also donated her work to Nobilinka, Unicef, Urban Zen, and The Metropolitan Museum of Art. She is actively involved in various childrens charities and founded the initiative Fashion Fights For Childrens Rights . She is on the board of Innocence in Danger as well as an active spokesperson for Solving Childrens Cancer. Aside from her own collection of fashion wear for children, she has most recently designed pieces of art for the Museum of Islamic Art, Qatar.
Bonnie is the Mother to Celia Isadora and Brando Noa who both inspired her to create the Bonnie Young brand. It is with pleasure that she replied to our two questions:
