The new Citation Ten is a major breakthrough in the world of private jets when it comes to some of the latest and very best in innovations.It is scheduled for its first flight by the end of next year and plans are for it to be in service by 2013.

This luxury private jet will feature winglets along with Rolls Royce engines that have been updated. These will deliver a payload that is increased by 214 pounds which means a cruising speed that is increased by 211 nautical miles to 3.107 nautical miles.

The time it takes the private jet to climb into the air to FL450 is a mere 23 minutes and to FL350 it is only 13 minutes. It is also able to fly much faster at various altitudes and cruising speeds will also be increased from 525ktas to 527kts. The private jet has 9% better performance when it comes to climbing, 7% more in cruising thrust and 1.4% improvement when it comes to fuel consumption.

The new engines of this luxury private jet have been given a rating of 7,034 pounds of thrust each which delivers a 4% boost when it comes to taking off. The new engines ensure that the private jet comes with a more efficient fan, this is a 38.5 inch compound swept fan which is more stable and durable. The LP turbine has also been enlarged to help durability and efficiency. This luxury private jet is to be the launch platform of the superb Garmin G5000 avionics system, which is one of the very best in the world and comes with three fourteen inch LCD screen displays. These act not only as multifunction displays but also touch screens panels. The part 25 avionics suite is a first for Garmin and it will include electronic charts, dual FMS and TCAS II among many other innovations. The G5000 is to be one of the most prominent features in the new cockpit of the Citation Ten. The cockpit of the private jet has been restyled with streamlined switching trims on metal and many other automotive accents.

The seating inside the aircraft comes with an interactive touch screen built into each seat which has a web browser built in. This also controls audio and video from the Blu Ray player, adjusts the lighting, window shades and the temperature inside the cabin. The Citation Ten provides those travelling with a 15 inch cabin stretch that gives additional legroom of 8.6 inches in the four seat forward club grouping and almost five inches in the aft grouping.
